Microsoft Enters Licensing Agreement With High-End Wearable Maker Olio Devices

Microsoft entered into a new patent licensing agreement with Olio Devices LLC. The agreement, made possible through Microsoft Technology Licensing LLC, the company's arm for its IP licensing program, will cover "wearable devices" and other undisclosed details. Microsoft Technology Licensing was launched in December 2003, and has since reached more than 1,200 licensing agreements. Mutually beneficial and collaborative patent licensing agreements, such as the one with Olio, promote innovation and lead to better products and experiences for consumers, according to Microsoft Technology Licensing president Nick Psyhogeos. Both Microsoft and Olio have declined to provide further comment on the agreement and have refrained from making certain details public.
