Vice President International, and International Delegate of LES-Arab Countries, participated in the LESI International Delegates meetings and the LES US/Canada Annual meeting

San Diego – 20 October, 2011 – Mr. Nabil Salamé, Vice President International, and International Delegate of LES-Arab Countries, participated in the LESI International Delegates meetings and the LES US/Canada Annual meeting which were held in San Diego from October 16 - 20.

Mr. Salamé attended several committee and management meetings mainly LESI board and National Presidents where he informed the attendees of the recent and fruitful LES-AC activities in 2011 and their respective success.
He also met Mr. James Malackowski, President of LESI, who gave him a positive feedback on the local seminar in Abu-Dhabi in which he participated as a speaker and advised him that the event was interesting and successful.
He attended the European, Middle East & African Presidents meeting where they discussed the preparation for the upcoming Pan European meeting which will be held in Rome between June 10 – 21, 2012.
Being one of the members of the External Relations committee, he attended the committee meeting and they discussed the 2012 Global Technology Impact Forum (GTIF). GTIF will be held in Geneva on January 24-25, 2012 and will be hosted by the Board of LESI right before the LESI Planning meeting. Many leading NGOs will be participating at this Forum including WIPO, WTO and the ICC the strategic partners.
Moreover, Mr. Salamé was assigned to contact some IP organizations in the Middle East namely the Arab Society for Intellectual Property (ASIP), the Lebanese Intellectual Property Association (LIPA) and the Egyptian Center for Intellectual Property and Information Technology (ECIPIT) and to put them in direct contact with LESI External Relations committee.

At the event, Mr. Alan Lewis and Mr. Salamé signed a copyright License agreement between LESI and LES-AC authorizing LES-AC to teach all educational courses prepared by LESI, and we are expecting to receive soon the course material for the IAM 300 advanced level.
