In Conjunction with Bahrain World Economic Summit LES-AC Organizes Licensing Opportunities Forum

MANAMA ---- November 7, 2010 ---- In conjunction with Bahrain World Economic Summit (BWES 2010) the Licensing Executives Society – Arab Countries (LES-AC) will organize the "Licensing Opportunities Forum 2010" on November 23rd under the patronage of HE Dr. Hassan Fakhro, Bahraini Minister of Industry and Commerce.
Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, president of LES– AC will deliver a speech in the opening session in addition to HE Dr. Hassan Fakhro, Mr. Abdul Raheem Naqi, secretary general of the Federation of the GCC Chambers and Dr. Abdullah Al-Najjar, president of the Arab Science and Technology Foundation (ASTF).
This Forum is held at the time when the Arab world is witnessing a significant growth in various industrial and trade fields as the demand arises to search for ways to diversify its economy.
This Forum will host a number of national and international speakers specialized in technology transfer and Intellectual Property Licensing.
Speakers will tackle several key issues such as Strategic Licensing, Global Models for Technology Development and Commercialization in MENA countries, and Identifying Investment Opportunities through Technology & IP Landscaping in addition to others.
The importance of licensing and technology transfer lies in being an essential element in strategic alliances and joint ventures in order to maintain a competitive feature under the global economy.
Meanwhile, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh will deliver a speech at the opening session of Bahrain World Economic Summit (BWES) that will be chaired by HE Sheikh Ibrahim Ben Khalifah Al Khalifah, the Minister of Housing.

In addition, Dr. Evgeny P.Velikhov, president of the Russian Nuclear Research Center and chairman of the Global Energy International Prize will tackle several issues.
It is worth mentioning that this Summit is held in cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Global Energy International Prize – Russian Union and the Licensing Executives Society – Arab Countries (LES-AC).
