The Licensing Executives Society –Arab Countries (LES-AC) in cooperation with Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP)  & In collaboration with Al Bassel Fourteen Fair for Invention and Innovation Is organizing a workshop entitled:
                       

                     “Commercializing Technology through the Power of IP Licensing” 
                                            On July 19, 2009 in Damascus –Syria

Workshop Objectives:
The workshop has been designed to introduce Licensing as a tool for Technology Commercialization to the inventors and anyone interested in investing in Intellectual Property.
The workshop will provide participants with basic concepts and skills necessary for successful Intellectual Asset Management and Licensing.

Targeted Groups:

• Are you interested in understanding how to create or use Intellectual Property?
• Are you either a potential licensor or a licensee?
• Do you want to develop expertise in the field of Intellectual Asset Development and Management and in the field of Licensing?
• Do you want to refresh your understanding of IP and Licensing?

Trainers:
Dr. Hiba Zarour:
Dr. Hiba Zarour is the Intellectual Property Counsel at AL-Hikma Pharmaceuticals, a multinational Pharmaceutical company.
Dr. Zarour holds a BSc. degree in Pharmacy from the University of Jordan, a Master of Law in Intellectual Property and a Doctorate in Law. She is active in the area of Intellectual Property; and she participates as a speaker in many conferences locally and internationally.

Ms. Hams Madanat:
Ms. Hams Madanat is the Internal Training and Continuous Education Director at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org); she holds a L.L.M in Intellectual Property Law and has both legal and business-oriented experience in the matters of licensing and commercialization of inventions. Ms. Madanat is a certified trainer by the British Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and a certified trainer for the Licensing Executives Society International’s professional development program on Intellectual Asset Management. She has been a speaker at a number of Intellectual Property related seminars, and the author of many published articles addressing technology commercialization and licensing issues.

Mr. Mohamad Khaled Darwisheh
Mr. Mohamad Khaled Darwisheh is a lawyer and Commercial Arbitrator, and a member of the Board of Directors at the Syrian Society for Intellectual Property.
Mr. Darwisheh is an active member at the Licensing Executives Society – Arab Countries, and participated in many IP-related programs and training courses, intellectual Asset Management, and Licensing.
