Abu-Ghazaleh Discusses Cooperation with the Higher Administration of Dubai’s Department of Economic Development
DUBAI ---- March 24, 2014 ---- HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) and HE Sami Al Qamzi, Director General of Dubai’s Department of Economic Development discussed prospective of joint cooperation between the two parties.
During the meeting, attended by high profile officials from both sides, the two parties discussed the establishment of Dubai Institute for Intellectual Property at the Department of Economic Development which will be supported by the Arab Society for Intellectual Property (ASIP), in terms of training programs and qualifications as well as supervising its administration and conducting exams to all GCC countries.
Also several suggestions were discussed such as accrediting Dubai as a qualification center for ISO and quality consultancy. TAG-Consult will make all the required procedures in cooperation with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to recognize Dubai as a qualification center in the field of ISO and quality consultations.
Meanwhile, TAG-Translation will be studying the possibility of moving its international headquarters and operations to Dubai to provide all needed services to cover all languages.
Meanwhile, TAG-Org shall provide the Department with a Tool Kit for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) along with training programs for this tool in addition to establishing a center for professional capacity building in cooperation with TAG-Org at the Department.
In the field of Electronic Archiving, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Information Technology International (TAGITI) will set up electronic archiving systems for all the Department’s files and procedures to preserve and protect these important data, documents and files from any possible damage and establish the required storage spaces for an easy restoration of these files and data.
In the field of media, HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh suggested linking the Economic Department with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh three news agencies (Intellectual Property, Education and Information technology) and to be the media partner to any related events.
Talks also focused on preparing the necessary strategic studies in all fields according to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum in making Dubai the Smartest City in the world.
Al Qamzi commended the spirit of cooperation adopted by TAG-Org in development saying "We are accustomed to this by TAG-Org's offices in Dubai and the UAE for the last 40 years assuring that the Department of Economic Development welcomes all constructive initiatives which contribute to the achievement of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum in developing all sectors in the State.
HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stated that it’s our duty to offer our utmost efforts and services for the United Arab Emirates as we owe the development of the Organization for this country.
